Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Retro Nintendo Console Theme

Get ready, Pikmin Bloom enthusiasts! The game is all set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops with a nostalgic twist. Mark your calendars for May 1st, 2025, as the festivities kick off with a special event that promises to bring back some classic vibes.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Pikmin Bloom has always delighted players with unique decor, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For this milestone anniversary, the game is taking a nostalgic trip back to the 80s and 90s by introducing classic Nintendo game consoles as decor. Additionally, the Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will make an appearance, paying homage to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. These cards will feature designs inspired by Nintendo’s vintage decks.

The anniversary event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, offering players a whole month to engage in special missions and collect these exciting new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random goodies, including Game Button Cells, seedlings that can sprout into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, keep an eye out for Brilliant Mushrooms. By smashing these, you can earn Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other treasures. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms, so make sure to use them to your advantage.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May is blooming with beauty in Pikmin Bloom. Plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around your flowers, and watch them transform into stunning blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or special anniversary roses.

There's also an exciting nectar update for May. Fruits from mushrooms will now provide nectar not only for regular flowers but also for the special blooms mentioned above, enhancing your gardening experience.

Alongside the anniversary celebrations, don't miss out on other events like Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for a month filled with nostalgia and fun.
