In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, the hunt for resources like Sharp Fangs is essential for crafting and enhancing your gear. These valuable items are available early in the game, particularly in the Windward Plains, and are crucial for forging beginner-tier sets such as Chatacabra and Talioth armor.

How to Get Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds

To start your Sharp Fang hunt, embark on early optional quests like "Beware the Chatacabra" or "The Desert is Demanding." These quests will lead you to the Windward Plains with a generous 50-minute time frame. Before setting off, consider preparing a meal to boost your performance.

Navigate to Area 8 in the Windward Plains, either on foot or using your Seikret. This expansive area is teeming with smaller monsters, some of which drop Sharp Fangs. Focus your efforts on two key monsters: Gaijos and Talioth.

Gaijos

Gaijos, resembling crocodiles with unique snouts, are small leviathan monsters often found near or in riverbeds. Use the interactive map to locate them by scanning for purple diamonds near water sources. These creatures are easy to defeat and guaranteed to drop Sharp Fangs upon carving their carcasses. With four to five Gaijos typically available in the Windward Plains, you can re-enter via optional quests to farm more Sharp Fangs as needed.

Talioth

Talioth, bipedal monsters that roam in packs, can also drop Sharp Fangs, though not as reliably as Gaijos. Found in Area 8 and sometimes Area 13, these creatures are slightly tougher but manageable with starter weapons. While they might yield other items like Talioth Scales, there's still a chance for Sharp Fangs. You can also complete the "The Desert is Demanding" quest by defeating eight Talioths.
