Sonic Hits Update Home Run Ahead of 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3' Premiere

Get ready for a Sonic boom! Sega is celebrating the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with a flurry of exciting updates across its mobile Sonic games. From Apple Arcade's Sonic Dream Team to Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces on iOS and Android, these updates deliver fresh content inspired by the new movie.

First up, Sonic Forces receives a major update on December 12th, introducing a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This addition features three challenging tracks playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other favorite characters. Complete these levels before seeing the film for a fun connection!

Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team gets a boost with the addition of Shadow as a playable character, boasting unique abilities like Chaos Control and Chaos Shift to manipulate time and freeze opponents. Unlock him through Tails’ Challenges. New powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost enhance gameplay for all characters, while Shadow receives exclusive upgrades, including Double Chaos Shift. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks, plus a revised tutorial, round out this update.

Lastly, Sonic Dash's update arrives on December 20th, allowing you to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic by collecting cards. Daily challenges offer extra rewards. Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade will receive its Shadow-themed update in January.
