Sony has unveiled Mukti, an upcoming title for both PlayStation 5 and PC, as part of its Sony India Hero Project initiative. Developed by underDOGS Studio, Mukti is a first-person narrative exploration game set in an Indian museum, focusing on the critical social issue of human trafficking.

Players will explore the museum's intricate corridors, uncovering hidden stories and truths about human trafficking through engaging gameplay mechanics and compelling storytelling. The game aims to raise awareness, encourage dialogue, and inspire action by immersing players in the experiences of victims and survivors.

UnderDOGS Studio is collaborating with PlayStation to optimize Mukti's experience on the PS5, ensuring features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers enhance gameplay moments. For the PC version, the studio has shared tentative system requirements, with options for both minimum and recommended specifications.

The Steam release of Mukti will feature achievements, family sharing, and comprehensive controller support. Speaking on the project, Vaibhav Chavan, founder and game director at underDOGS Studio, expressed pride in being selected for the Sony India Hero Project, which has provided invaluable support and validation for their vision.

Sony's Hero Project is part of its global strategy to discover and support innovative external developers. Alongside development and publishing assistance, the program includes robust marketing efforts. Other Hero Project titles include Lost Soul Aside, a China-based game.
