Blizzard has unveiled exciting new details about the upcoming in-game housing system in *World of Warcraft: Midnight*. Although the expansion is slated for release post-*The War Within* as part of the Worldsoul saga, early previews indicate a level of customization that surpasses many players' expectations.

A recent developer blog showcased in-game videos that demonstrate the furniture placement mechanics. The system employs a grid for item alignment with automatic snapping, allowing players to effortlessly decorate larger objects like shelves or tables. Smaller accessories can be added to these larger pieces and will remain attached even when moved.

The housing system features two distinct modes: a Basic Mode designed for easy organization and an Advanced Mode tailored for creative builders. In Advanced Mode, players have the freedom to rotate objects along all three axes and stack them innovatively, facilitating the creation of intricate and visually appealing interiors.

Another notable feature is the ability to scale objects, which caters to the varying sizes of different character races. For example, gnomes can craft more intimate, cozy spaces, whereas larger races like tauren might prefer more expansive designs. Some new furniture pieces designed specifically for the housing system will support recoloring, though this option might not be available for legacy assets.

With *Midnight* still months away, Blizzard is keeping the community engaged by regularly sharing glimpses of the upcoming content, ensuring continued excitement and anticipation for future updates.
