The app's connectivity extends to various formats such as PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint, making it an essential tool for productivity.
To start using Samsung Notes, you can easily create a new note by tapping the + icon located in the bottom right corner of the main screen. These newly created notes will be saved with the "sdocx" extension, ensuring compatibility and ease of use.
Securing your notes is straightforward. From the main screen, tap "More Options" in the upper right corner, navigate to Settings, and select "Lock Note." Choose your preferred locking method and password. Then, to protect individual notes, simply tap "More Options" on the note's screen and select "Lock Note."
For those who prefer handwritten notes, Samsung Notes offers a dedicated Handwriting icon. Tapping this while composing a note will allow your handwriting to appear directly on the note, providing a natural writing experience.
Incorporating visuals is just as easy. By tapping the photo icon within your note, you can capture a new photo or load and edit an existing one, complete with the ability to add tags for better organization.
Adding voice recordings to your notes is another feature that enriches your documentation. Simply tap the Voice Recording icon while writing to capture audio and create a multimedia note.
Samsung Notes also provides an array of writing tools. By tapping the Pen icon, you can access various instruments like pens, fountain pens, pencils, and highlighters, each customizable with different colors and thicknesses. For corrections, the Eraser icon allows you to remove unwanted content effortlessly.
Transitioning from other note-taking apps is made smooth with the Smart Switch feature, which enables you to import data from S Note and Memo saved on other devices. Additionally, you can import previously created notes and memos using your Samsung account.
Regarding app access permissions, Samsung Notes requires certain permissions to function optimally. Required permissions include access to Storage for saving and loading document files. Optional permissions, which enhance the app's functionality but are not mandatory for basic use, include access to Photos and Videos, Notifications, Music and Audio, Phone, Microphone, and Camera. These permissions allow for adding multimedia content and receiving important updates and notifications.
