This game blends deep strategic world conquest with hands-on, fully interactive battles—offering the ultimate fusion of both genres. Just when you think victory is yours, beware: history has a way of repeating itself.
UPGRADES
While the core game is free to play, optional upgrades let you customize your conquest—choose your side, starting territory, and more. Unleash fantasy matchups in battle mode, pitting any two cultures against each other with as many troops as your device can handle. You can even edit every character in the world, though keep in mind the game actively uses up to 1,000 characters that are regularly refreshed.
CONTROLS
When controlling an individual unit, choose between "Classic" one-handed controls or "Dual Wield" for separate movement of each hand. If you're new to the series, simply pause the action by hitting the dateline and review the "Controls" guide. You’ll also find helpful hints in scrolls and books scattered throughout the game.
Switch between team members anytime by tapping their health meter or pointing directly at them on the battlefield. Use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to enter "Commander" mode, where you direct any ally by swiping from their position to a target location. Whether you’re telling them to move, engage an enemy, or interact with an object, they'll interpret your command—but follow it based on their own priorities and availability.
No matter your device or control scheme, you can always zoom in or out by pinching the center of the screen.
MAP
In the main "Campaign" mode, expand your empire by moving units between connected territories. Choose to "fortify" a region you hold, or launch an attack to capture a rival’s land. Be aware: only half of the units in a territory can travel, making invasions significantly tougher than defense.
Population in occupied territories grows after each round, so controlling more land is key to long-term strength. Units also heal gradually over time, so rotate your focus across different regions each turn to maintain momentum.
PERFORMANCE
Please be aware that this is my most ambitious game to date and may require a high-end device for optimal performance. To improve frame rates, try lowering the "Population" setting to reduce on-screen characters, or adjust other visual options in the "Display" menu.
