Access Permissions
By using VNeID, users grant the application access to the following functions:
- Internet Access - Necessary for the application to function and communicate data.
- Camera Access - Used to scan the QR code on the Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) to expedite the input of basic citizen information and facilitate quick scanning for travel and medical declarations.
- Media and File Access - Allows the storage of QR code images, which are required for verification at checkpoints.
- Notification Permissions - Enables the application to send alerts to the user's device.
Personal Information Collection
Users voluntarily input their data into the application, including:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Citizen identification number
- Gender
- Year of birth
- Permanent address
- Nationality
- Health status
- Travel details (place of departure, destination, vehicle number plate)
- Exposure to individuals with COVID-19
This information is collected with the user's explicit consent and is used for medical and travel declarations, either for oneself or on behalf of another person with their permission.
User Responsibility
Users are responsible for their actions and the accuracy of the information they input into the VNeID application.
Privacy and Copyright Protection
VNeID ensures that user data is securely stored and managed by the National Population Data Center, Ministry of Public Security. The data is used exclusively for COVID-19 prevention and control efforts, enhancing public health and disease prevention without any commercial exploitation or invasion of privacy. Data may be shared with health authorities and other relevant entities to optimize the prevention of the disease.
