Transform your device into a versatile portable display with the help of an HDMI to USB C dongle, known as a UVC capture device or Video Capture Card. This is essential for connecting your camera, gaming console, laptop, PC, or any other device with HDMI output. Additionally, cameras, endoscopes, and microscopes featuring USB streaming capabilities are also supported. Noir enhances your experience with UVC video streaming and UAC audio streaming, allowing you to choose between OpenGL ES and Vulkan graphics backends. The free version provides basic functions and an immersive experience, though it includes ads outside of the preview. Upgrade to the pro version to unlock more features and support the ongoing development and maintenance of Noir.

FAQ
Why doesn't Noir recognize my device?
Possible reasons include your phone or tablet not supporting USB Host (OTG) or the connected device not being a Video Capture Card. In some cases, your device may not provide sufficient power, requiring a USB hub for additional power supply. Why is the preview so laggy?
Lag often results from using the wrong USB version. Ensure your USB 3.0 capture card is connected with a USB 3.0 cable to a USB 3.0 port. For USB 2.0 capture cards, use the MJPEG video format and keep resolutions at or below 1080p30fps, though some may support up to 1080p50fps.Why did my capture card, which was working fine, suddenly fail to connect?
This is typically due to system issues. Restarting your phone or tablet often resolves the problem. Why does my gaming console or Video playback device show a black screen when connected?
This issue is common with PS5 and PS4 due to HDCP being enabled. Disable HDCP in your PS console settings: Settings -> System -> HDMI. Note that PS3 does not support HDCP disabling. Other devices may also trigger HDCP when playing videos, leading to a black screen. While some HDMI splitters can bypass HDCP, exploring this solution is left to the user. Why are resolutions other than 16:9 and 4:3 not supported?
Currently, no capture cards support ratios other than these. Use Noir's Stretch feature to specify your desired ratio, ensuring your capture card's EDID and your device's output resolution support it.
