Stellar Blade director and producer Kim Hyung Tae has expressed his full support for mods and is reportedly eager to try them himself.
At a recent press conference in Yeouido, South Korea, Kim was asked about his position on modding. "First and foremost, I completely support players creating and using mods. In fact, I'm personally looking forward to experimenting with some of the more exciting ones," he responded.
"I'm excited to see many players develop their own mods and engage in friendly competition to see whose creations are the most appealing. I also hope more players will participate in the modding community."
This support comes at an opportune time, as the game hasn't officially launched on PC yet, and already dozens of mods are available on Nexus for the PC demo. These range from new character skins and reshader packs to VR enhancements and even cosmetic changes like nail polish. Additionally, several mods are kept private and classified as "adult." We'll leave that topic there.
IGN's review of Stellar Blade scored it a 7 out of 10, stating: "Stellar Blade excels in the core aspects important for an action game, but unmemorable characters, a underwhelming story, and some frustrating RPG mechanics keep it from ranking among the genre's best."
The PC version of Stellar Blade launches on Steam on June 11, packed with PC-specific features. These include AI upscaling via Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an uncapped framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceovers, ultrawide monitor support, higher-resolution environment textures, and DualSense controller support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. While the game was initially region-locked in over 100 countries, it is now available for pre-order on PC in more than 250 regions. And no, there isn't a Stellar Blade multiplayer mod available yet, but data miners have found potential signs of multiplayer components within the game files.
